Egypt's chief of staff Hegazy meets US commander Garrett

CAIRO - 18 October 2017: The army's Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Hegazy met on Wednesday with the US Army Central's Commanding General Lt. Gen. Michael Garrett.

The meeting tackled the developments of the conditions in the region and issues of mutual concern.

Hegazy stressed the importance of cooperation between the armies of Egypt and the US. He urged coordination to address joint challenges and boost security and stability in the region.

Garrett appreciated the military ties between Cairo and Washington.
