CAIRO – 14 October 2017: Three hundred and fifty Muslim Brotherhood members in Beheira governorate filed statements claiming their defections from the Brotherhood at different police departments. They announced their defection and denied the violence and murder the group has committed.

Mohamed El Hendy, chief of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of Beheira governorate, told Egypt Today that the Brotherhood’s leaders have been open for revisions after learning of the deception by the Guidance Bureau.

Hendy added on Saturday that similar revisions were assumed by the second Muslim Brotherhood guide Hassan El Hodeiby, after the group’s attempt to assassinate late President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1954 while delivering a speech at Mansheya Square in Alexandria.

Hendy emphasized that security forces are implementing a strict plan of proactive strikes against terrorist cells in collaboration with the National Security Agency.
