Parliamentary committee denounces Arish terror attack

CAIRO - 14 October 2017: The head of the religious affairs and Awqaf committee of the House of Representatives Osama el Abd on Friday condemned an attack on a security checkpoint in El Arish city in North Sinai.

In a statement, Abd said the Egyptian Armed Forces are engaged in a war to clear Sinai form foreign-financed terror groups.

He added that terrorism has nothing to do with religions.

Abd offered condolences to the families of the victims as well as the Egyptian government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
