BAGHDAD -13 October 2017: The Iraqi Joint Operations Command denied launching military operations in southern Kirkuk, Alsumaria news channel reported.

At the same time, the command asserted that there are ongoing operations to purge liberated areas of Daesh terrorists, the channel added, giving no further details.

Earlier in the day, Sky News channel reported that Iraqi forces started an offensive in southern Kirkuk.
