9 October 2017: Tropical Depression 17 has formed over the Eastern Atlantic and is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm later on Monday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
The system is about 875 miles (1,405 km) west-southwest of the Azores with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 km/h), the NHC said.
