CAIRO – 9 October 2017: The Egyptian community in Paris took to the Champs-Élysées on Sunday to celebrate the victory over Congo in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
A footage captured by Egypt Today’s reporter from Paris showed the celebrations of Egyptians in their cars at the luxurious street of Champs-Élysées, honking their cars and waving the Egyptian flag in celebration of the national team’s return to the World Cup after a 28-year absence.
Egypt qualified for next year's World Cup after beating Congo 2-1 on Sunday to move to an unassailable position at the top of its group with one match to go.
