Attack reported on Jeddah royal palace

CAIRO - 7 October 2017: Several news outlets have reported Saturday an attack against the royal Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

The Embassy of United States in Saudi Arabia warned U.S. citizens to be cautious in the area surrounding the palace after the reports.

According to the news circulated on social media platforms, Saudi security forces foiled the attack, leaving one attacker and two of the royal guards dead.
The Saudi government has not issued an official statement regarding the incident yet.
