CAIRO – 7 October 2017: The Cairo Criminal Court on Saturday adjourned until October 17 the trial of Muslim Brotherhood guide Mohamed Badie and 739 other leaders and members of the banned group for their involvement in the armed sit-in in Cairo's Rabaa el Adawiya Square.
The court delayed the case to listen to testimonies of witnesses.
The defendants are accused of scheming a terrorist plot that aimed at vandalizing vital government facilities and places of worship.
They also face charges of forming an operations room to direct MB members to defy the government during the crackdown on the Rabaa protest camp and to spread chaos in the country.
