Israel closes major roads between Ramallah, Nablus

RAMALLAH - 6 October 2017: Israeli forces announced on Friday that the majority of roads that link between the West Bank cities of Ramallah and Nablus would be closed until the noon hours, WAFA news agency reported.

The step was taken under the pretext of securing the area for a marathon organized by Israeli settlers.

Israeli forces were deployed heavily in the area, preventing the movement of Palestinian residents.

Residents are forced to take long alternative detours through neighboring villages in order to reach their destinations
