51 gangs, 15 fugitives arrested in week

CAIRO - 6 October 2017: About 51 organized groups of criminals and up to 15 fugitives were nabbed in security campaigns nationwide during one week.

The gangs comprised about 144 people who were wanted over 219 robbery charges.

The security campaigns managed to unravel about 61 incidents of sexual abuse, arson and robbery.

As many as 57 stolen cars were recovered during the campaigns.
