Three Hasm terrorists killed in police raid

CAIRO – 2 October 2017: Three terrorists from the Hasm movement were killed while exchanging fire with security forces, stated the Ministry of Interior on Monday.

The National Security sector was informed that some members of the Hasm terrorist movement were found in the 15th of May region trying to escape from security forces, and that they planned to commit a violent act in the coming period.

Security forces, during their efforts to follow the Hasm elements, managed to identify the location of some members of the group, who were killed while exchanging fire with the security forces in the 15th of May region.

Hasm Movement, a militant group operating in Egypt, has been carrying out attacks on police and army forces since the ousting of former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
