43 illegal migrants rescued off Tunisian coast

TUNIS - 1 October 2017: The Tunisian National Navy intercepted Saturday night four boats carrying 43 illegal Tunisian migrants aboard in distress 90 km off Zarzis, the country's official news agency quoted Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Belhassan Oueslati as saying.

"The illegal migrants who put out to the sea from the beaches of Zarzis heading to Italy were brought back to the port of Zarzis where they were handed over to the national guard of the region to take the necessary measures against them," he added.
