US-led coalition conducts 35 airstrikes on IS sites in Raqqah

WASHINGTON - 29 September 2017: The US-led coalition warplanes carried out 35 airstrikes on Daesh sites in Raqqah city over the past 24 hours, the US Army announced on Friday.

Meanwhile, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) took control of Raqqa al Samra village in western Raqqah city, Alhurra channel said, adding that clashes continued between the SDF and Daesh militants in central Raqqah.

Despite fierce attacks launched by Daesh terrorists in northeastern Dier Ezzor countryside, the SDF managed to liberate a number of villages there, the channel noted.
