CAIRO – 29 September 2017: Israel has imposed a security cordon on the West Bank and Gaza's border crossings until Sunday, for the celebration of Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), Israeli Daily Newspaper (Yedioth Ahronoth) reported.

Only humanitarian cases who have permissions from the Israeli coordinator of activities, will be allowed to enter Israel from Palestinian areas during these two days, according to the newspaper.

October war between Israeli and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria started with a sudden attack on Israeli positions on Yom Kippur, on October 6, 1973.
