Arab League chief discusses with Iraq FM Kurdish referendum

CAIRO - 29 September 2017: Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit held phone talks Thursday with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jafari.

They discussed the latest developments in Iraq following the Kurdish referendum that took place on Thursday, spokesman for the secretary general Mahmoud Afifi said.

The secretary general asserted he is ready to bring the two sides together to keep Iraq united as one federal state.
