RAMALLAH - 28 September 2017: The Palestinian Foreign Ministry lashed out at the Israeli siege imposed on 16 Palestinian villages, northwest of Jerusalem.
The blockade entered on Thursday its third day in a row.
Such intransigent and collective punitive measures adopted by Israel violate the international law, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The ministry said that the Israeli blockade affects all aspects of life in the villages, including closure of more than 50 schools.
It said the nightly Israeli army raids on the villages terrorize children and unarmed Palestinians.
The ministry called on the international community and human rights organizations to prod Israel into lifting the blockade.
