U.S. should stand against Iran: American Congress member

CAIRO – 25 September 2017: American Congress member Eliot Engel affirmed in statements Thursday that it’s very important for the United States to stand against Iran and its threat in the region.

He added in statements to the UAE-owned newspaper, Al-Ain, that Iran has been backing and funding terrorism for a long time, which poses a huge threat to the Middle East region.

“I want the Iranian people to have freedom like the Americas; I want the Iranian people to have the ability to choose their leaders under fair and free elections,” Engel said.

He affirmed that he is against the aggression that the Iranian regime has shown all over the Middle East, along with its continuous support to terrorism groups and organizations including Hezbollah.
