WASHINGTON - Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort's spokesman called on Tuesday for the U.S. Justice Department inspector general to investigate leaks after CNN reported that Manafort had been wiretapped under secret court orders.
Jason Maloni, the spokesman, said Manafort also asked the Justice Department to "release any intercepts involving him and any non-Americans so interested parties can come to the same conclusion as the DOJ - there is nothing there."
Manafort is being investigated as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe of alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
