CAIRO – 18 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi welcomed on Monday, on the sidelines of the meetings of the 72nd session of UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, alongside with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States Prince Khaled bin Salman.
During the meetings, Sisi stressed the bilateral relations between Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates; referring that these relations should be strengthened in different fields to maintain the Arab solidarity to face challenges in the Arab region, said the presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef.
Al Nahyan has praised the intensive coordination with Egypt in facing the challenges in the region, of which terrorism comes at the forefront, confirming that Arabs should stand united in the face of attempts threatening and destabilizing Arab society.
Sisi and Al Nahyan also discussed Arab and regional issues in particular the crises in many Arab countries that will be discussed in the meetings of the UN General Assembly, added Youssef.

On the other hand, Ambassador Salman has conveyed during the meeting the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman confirming the strong historic relations between the two states.

They have tackled the common issues especially the ways to solve emerging political crises in the region to end the suffering of peoples and maintain the region’s capabilities, stated Youssef.
Sisi participates in the UN Security Council’s summit on reforming the peacekeeping forces’ operations.
President Sisi will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, in addition to other key political, congressional, and economic figures in the American administration, Youssef added.
