UN secretary general answers questions via Facebook

CAIRO – 17 September 2017: Got a question for United Nations secretary general António Guterres? Now is your chance to ask!

For the first time, Guterres will broadcast live this Sunday at 5 p.m. NYC time on his official Facebook account.

Thousands of questions are expected to be sent to Guterres about various unclear issues, most notably terrorism, the refugee crisis, and developments in the Palestinian peace process.



Earlier, the Egyptian government launched a new digital application called “Ask the President,” allowing citizens to direct their inquiries and opinions to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

This application is available on the website of the National Youth Conference (NYC). All users can register using their Facebook or Twitter account and email.
