Al Azhar official flies to US for intercultural conference

CAIRO - 15 September 2017: Al Azhar Undersecretary Abbas Shoman left here Friday heading to the United States, where he will take part in a conference on the intercultural communication between the US and the Islamic world, to kick off Saturday.

Shoman will give a speech at the opening session of the two-day event about cultural communication between Muslims and non-Muslims in Islam.

Al Azhar's participation in the conference, to be held in New York, comes within the framework of its world role in opening prospects of dialogue between the East and the West
