TOKYO – 15 September 2017: Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga on Friday denounced North Korea's latest launch of intermediate-range ballistic missile that flew over Japan before landing in the northern Pacific Ocean.
The missile flew over Japan and landed in the Pacific about 2,000 km (1,240 miles) east of Hokkaido, Sky News channel reported, quoting Sugo as saying.
Suga noted that Japan will not tolerate the repeated and excessive North Korean provocations.
The government will coordinate closely with the United States and South Korea, Suga stressed.
The South Korean army announced earlier that Pyongyang was preparing to launch a new missile without identifying its kind.
