FM says only Libyans should solve Libyan crisis

CAIRO - 15 September 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Thursday stressed that only Libyans should find ways out of their current crisis.

The Egyptian top diplomat made the remarks in a meeting with UN special envoy to Libya Ghassan Salamé on the sidelines of a six-party ministerial meeting on Libya that was held in London.

Shoukry stressed Egypt’s support for UN efforts in Libya, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abou Zeid said.

Salamé, for his part, praised Egyptian efforts aiming at solving the Libyan crisis.
