Saudi Arabia, Egypt air forces to hold joint drills

CAIRO – 14 September 2017: The Egyptian and Saudi Arabian airforces will conduct joint aerial forces drills, called "Faisal 11," which will be hosted by Egypt for several days.

Given the significant role both countries play in preserving the stability of the region, “Faisal 11” comes within the frame of the Kingdom and Egyptian counterpart’s keenness to enhance mutual military cooperation, culminated in conducting a series of the joint military drills to exchange practices in this matter.

The participants are scheduled to maintain ground-attack methods, and to fulfill tasks on planning and the management of joint air combat activities.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia have long enjoyed a strategic partnership, especially in regards to military cooperation amid the mounting terrorism threats facing the region.
