Abul-Gheit receives new chief of the AL Commission

CAIRO - 13 September 2017: Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul-Gheit received on Wednesday the new head of the AL mission to the UN ambassador Majid Abdel Fatah.

Abdel Fatah was handed over his letter of assignment to submit it to the UN Secretary-General.

In a statement, Mahmoud Afifi, the spokesman for the AL Secretary-General, said that Abdel Fatah received assignments as he will go to New York to begin his mission.

In the session of the 148th session of the Arab League council on Tuesday, the Ministerial Council unanimously agreed to assign Ambassador Majid Abdel Fattah to the new post.
