CAIRO – 12 September 2017: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry slammed Qatar's delegate to the Arab League Saif Moqadam Al-Boenain and accused Doha of “funding terrorism.”
During the Qatari delegate to the Arab League’s speech at the 148th session of the Arab League council at the ministerial level, Shoukry interrupted him and described the Qatari speech of being “nonsense and inappropriate words.”
Shoukry stressed that Egypt has the right to preserve its interests via legal procedures within the framework of the international law, manifesting that Egypt is proud of its 7,000-year-old civilization.
He added that Egypt is a “responsible state”, and rejected the Qatari delegate’s speech to the Arab League, deeming it “unacceptable.”
