Canadian embassy offers condolences over Arish attack

CAIRO – 12 September 2017: The Canadian Embassy in Cairo strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in Arish City, North Sinai, leaving 18 policemen dead on Monday morning.

The bomb attack targeted police-armored vehicles in Arish.

The embassy added in the statement published on its official Facebook page on Tuesday that Canada firmly stands in solidarity with the government and people of Egypt in its war against terrorism, extending condolences to the Egyptian government and people as well as to the victims’ grieving families.
