Arab FMs convene ahead of AL council session

CAIRO - 12 Sep 2017: Arab Foreign Ministers held on Tuesday a consultative meeting with the participation of Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the AL, was held ahead of the activities of the 148th session of the AL council at the ministerial level, set to kick off later in the day to discuss the progress of joint Arab action.

The foreign ministers' meeting took up consultations on items referred by the AL council with regard to upgrading the AL and appointing a new undersecretary for Abul Gheit.

Also, the meeting tackled the latest developments of regional crises and Arab efforts aimed at putting an end to Israeli interference in the African continent.
