CAIRO – 11 September 2017: The spokesperson of the Qatari Foreign Affairs Ministry Ahmed El Romeihy replied Monday on Twitter to Bahraini Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa’s criticism of the statements of the Qatari foreign affairs minister at a United Nations meeting.

The Bahraini minister tweeted that the “language” of Qatari Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdel Rahman Al-Thani does not imply any desire to resolve the boycott crisis and that the Qatari discourse regarding the matter is “repetitive” and “boring”.

The Qatari minister criticized on Monday the decision made on June 5 by the four Arab countries – Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain – to cut ties with his state over supporting terror and terrorist groups. That was during a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

El Romeihy responded by saying that the “honest” Qatari minister’s language would not be understood by those who expected his state to succumb, underestimating the strength and bravery of “Tamim the glorious”, referring to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
