Sisi meets CENTCOM commander to discuss counterterrorism efforts

CAIRO – 11 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM ) Joseph Votel on Sunday at Cairo’s Presidential Palace of al-Ittihadyia on Monday.

Sisi had received Votel in February at al-Ittihadyia to discuss bilateral military cooperation and international counterterrorism efforts.

Votel’s current visit coincides with the U.S.-Egyptian military “Bright Star 2017” operations that launched on Sunday and are set to continue until September 20 at the Mohamed Naguib military base in the northern military zone.
