Tawadros visits St. Mary's Coptic Orthodox College in Melbourne

CAIRO – 11 September 2017: Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria Tawadros II visited St. Mary's Coptic Orthodox College in Melbourne, Australia, as part of his tour there.

The students welcomed the Pope who held a meeting and participated in activities with them. In return, Bishop Suriel of Melbourne and the students granted souvenirs to the Pope and his accompanying delegation.

Earlier, Pope Tawadros II arrived on August 30 in Australia, and his visit will continue until September 13. This was the second stop of his papal tour, which priori took him to Japan. Upon his arrival, the Egyptian Ambassador to Australia Mohamed Khairat and members of the Egyptian embassy welcomed him. During the visit, the pope will carry out several pastoral activities and inaugurate a number of service projects.
