FM meets with his Japanese counterpart Monday

CAIRO - 11 September 2017: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry on Monday will meet in Cairo with visiting Japanese counterpart Taro Kono to discuss ways of boosting bilateral relations.

The meeting will focus on a number of regional and international issues of common interest as well as the latest developments in the Middle East region and counter-terrorism efforts.

In addition, Shoukry will meet with Pierre Krahenbuhl, the Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), also currently visiting Egypt.

Both sides are expected to discuss cooperation regarding the status of Palestinian refugees in the occupied Palestinian territories and other countries.
