PAP delegation inspects humanitarian situation in Darfur

KHARTOUM - 10 September 2017: A Pan African Parliament (PAP) delegation on Saturday paid a visit to Sudan's South Darfur state to get firsthand information about the security and humanitarian situation there.

The delegation met local officials to review the impact of US sanctions imposed on the country.

It also inspected camps of internally displaced persons.

The African parliamentary delegation underlined the necessity of lifting the sanctions imposed on the country.
