120 left Germany for Syria, Iraq over 5 years

BERLIN - 10 September 2017: German Interior Secretary of Berlin Torsten Akmann said Saturday over 120 extremists left the country over the past five years to support militant groups in Syria and Iraq.

In statements, Akmann said that 45 extremists hold German passports, while 15 others have further nationality.

So far, about 20 extremists have been killed there, Akmann said.
