TRIPOLI- 9 Sep 2017: Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya Fayez al-Sarraj expressed his hope that the African Union Summit in Congo will resolve the current political crisis in Libya.
He said on Saturday in a statement that the summit along with the African Union and the AU Supreme Commission will present suggestions for helping Libya, reported Libyan News Agency and Libya National Channel.
The committee, which comprises nine countries: Niger, Mauritania, the Republic of Congo, South Africa, Sudan, Chad, Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia is chaired by Congo’s Denis Sassou N’Guesso.
The last meeting was held in Brazzaville in January.
