President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi during his visit to Vietnam
HANOI - 7 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met Thursday with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a number of cabinet members during his visit to Vietnam.
Spokesman for the presidency Alaa Youssef said Phuc praised the results of Sisi's visit to his country, stressing that he has instructed his ministers to carry out what has been agreed on with Sisi.
Phuc explained that his country is keen on boosting cooperation with Egypt in various fields, especially trade and economic fields.
In addition, he thanked Egypt for its efforts in helping Vietnamese nationals to leave Libya and return back to their country in 2011 and 2014.
Meanwhile, President Sisi expressed his happiness over visiting Vietnam, pointing to Egypt's desire to benefit from the Vietnamese expertise in enhancing the economy and development.
He explained that Egypt's role in evacuating the Vietnamese nationals from Libya comes in line with its efforts to protect innocent lives and prevent more casualties.
The meeting between Sisi and the Vietnamese PM tackled issues of common interest and ways of boosting cooperation between both countries in various fields, Youssef added.
