CAIRO - 06 September 2017: Dr. Osama Al-Abd, head of Religious Affairs and Endowments Committee of the Egyptian Parliament, condemned the organized crimes, genocide, brutal attacks, and violations committed against the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

Al-Abd stated that these massacres, and savage violations against Rohingya Muslims, are shameful to the international community and all international organizations.

"The international community used to keep silent towards the crimes committed against Muslims. Despite the severity of the crimes against the Muslim minority in Myanmar, which the UN deems as the group most suffering from persecution and discrimination worldwide, we have not yet seen any genuine international response to these massacres," Al-Abd noted in a press release on Wednesday.

Calling for an international humanitarian stand to stop the suffering of the Muslim minority, Al-Abd stressed the need for collective action to be taken by nations and international organizations to fully coordinate and pressure the government of Myanmar to bring an end to the ongoing slaughter and displacement of Rohingya Muslims.
