2 airstrikes target Daesh terrorists in Kirkuk’s Hawija - File photo
BAGHDAD - 4 September 2017: Two explosions were heard in Hawija city in southern Kirkuk Governorate that targeted a column of armed Daesh terrorists, a local source told The Baghdad Post on Sunday.
The source said that the two explosions resulted from two airstrikes as one of them was conducted on a column of armed Daesh terrorists amidst confirmed reports of fatalities.
Daesh is on high alert in central Hawija as the terrorist group sent out heavily armed foot patrols to vital districts, he added.
Hawija is one of Daesh’s most important strongholds in Kirkuk Governorate, which was controlled by the terrorist group in 2014.
