Syrian authorities release 80 detainees - Press photo
DAMASCUS - 2 September 2017: The Syrian authorities released 80 detainees, most of them in Damascus countryside, within the framework of enhancing national reconciliation and on the occasion of Eidul Adha.
The secretary of Ba'ath Party in Damascus countryside Hamam Haider urged the released to back the Syrian army, Russia Today reported on Saturday.
He further stressed that the patriotism of the inhabitants of Damascus countryside contributed to maintaining the security and stability of their region as well as rendering the national reconciliations success.
For their part, the Syrian activists said that the Syrian government released about 80 detainees from its prisons according to the deal reached between it and the armed factions.
