BEIRUT - 31 August 2017: French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe received on Thursday Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the Matignon Palace, where they reviewed the latest regional developments and the Syrian crisis, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.

The meeting was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Lebanese Embassy in Paris Ghadi Khoury, Hariri's advisor for European affairs Bassil Yared and his chief of staff Nader Hariri on the Lebanese side.

On the French side, the meeting was attended by French ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher, Philippe’s diplomatic advisor Emmanuel Lenain, director of North Africa and Middle East Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jerome Bonnafont and head of the Philippe's office for military affairs General Benoit Durieux.
