Sisi invited to attend high-level meeting on Libya

CAIRO - 29 Aug 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Tuesday received a message from President of Congo Brazzaville Sassou Nguesso inviting him to attend the third meeting of the high-level committee of African Union heads of states on Libya that will be held in the Congolese capital on September 9.

The message was delivered by Congolese Foreign Minister Jean-Cloude Gakosso at a meeting here with Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ambassador Hamdy Sanad.

The meeting took up Egyptian efforts for establishing peace and stability in Libya and achieving rapprochement among the warring Libyan parties.

The two sides also discussed means of promoting bilateral relations
