TRIPOLI - 28 Aug 2017: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya said that UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame will present his first briefing on Libya to the UN Security Council (UNSC) Monday evening, about a month after assuming his duties.

On June 20, the UNSC approved the appointment of former Lebanese Minister of Culture and Political Science Professor Ghassan Salame as UN envoy to Libya, succeeding Martin Kobler, who has been leading the UN mission since November 2015.
