BERLIN - 28 August 2017: The German foreign minister affirmed his country's full support to Egypt's position on the Nile water file, stressing that any projects or agreement in this regard must take into account the Egyptian interests and be established in full coordination with Egypt.
He also expressed Germany's support to Egypt in its efforts and plans to achieve economic reform and to promote the Egyptian-German development cooperation in various fields.
The German minister hailed Egypt's major role in fighting terrorism, working to stabilize Libya, and making significant efforts to being peace and stability to the Middle East.
For his part, Shoukry praised Egyptian-German political, economic, military, scientific and cultural relations, stressing that the Egyptian-German talks were very fruitful.
We express our commitment to enhance cooperation to meet these challenges facing the Middle East, he added.
