Interior Ministry deletes 4 accounts involved in cybercrimes

CAIRO, Aug 21 2017: Information and communications technology officers launched a major campaign to prevent cyber crimes, blackmailing and monitor pages on social media platforms that incite violence.

The campaign managed to access and shut down four accounts that incited acts of sabotage against government institutions.

Some 48 individuals were also arrested on blackmail charges.
