Pope Tawadros leads funeral mass of Bishop Kyrillos of Milan

CAIRO - 17 August 2017: Speaking at the funeral prayers, Pope Tawadros expressed his deep sorrow at the death of Anba Kyrillos, adding that he knew him for more than 30 years.

The Coptic Orthodox Church lost a great bishop, Pope Tawardos said, underlining late Pope Shenouda III's deep appreciation of Anba Kyrillos.

Anba Kyrillos was born in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Sohag on October 15, 1952. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in 1977.

He became a monk on June 11, 1979.
