Sisi urges more efforts to bolster coop. with Gabon

LIBREVILLE - 16 August 2017: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has called for intensifying efforts to enhance cooperation with Gabon and increase trade between the two countries.

During a meeting with his hosting Gabonese counterpart Ali Bongo Ondimba on Wednesday, Sisi said an agreement was reached to re-launch the joint Egyptian-Gabonese committee, which has been suspended since 2008.

The committee is set to hold a meeting in Gabon later this year, Sisi said.

He further praised efforts exerted by Ondimba to restore peace and security in central Africa.

Sisi wished more success and progress for the Gabonese people, and congratulated Ondimba on the positive results of the national dialogue, which has been recently launched in the African country.
