Health min. visits people injured in Alex, orders free treatment

CAIRO - 12 August 2017: Health Minister Ahmed Emad el Din and Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali checked the conditions of people injured in train collision in Alexandria earlier on Friday.

The minister inspected Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital in Alexandria where 10 wounded people were admitted before eight of them were discharged after receiving medical treatment.

He then inspected Al-Jumhuriya Central Hospital where 26 injured people were admitted. He directed to move three of them to Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital due to their urgent need to undergo surgeries.

He also directed to treat all the wounded at the expense of the state.

Earlier, an Alexandria-bound train coming from Cairo crashed into another one while being on its way from Port Said to Alexandria, leaving 40 dead and 133 others injured.
