CAIRO – 10 August 2017: A Number of Pilgrims expressed gratitude for Ministry of Interior for facilitating procedures of their travel to perform annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The group of Pilgrims was accompanied by Clerics to explain religious rituals, and answer any questions related to the pilgrimage ritual. They were also accompanied by Medical staff at the highest level to examine patients and also with number of officers to assist the elderly and people with special needs.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that all aspects of care were provided for the pilgrims that ranged from facilitating travel procedures safety return to Egypt, air-conditioned buses for the transfer of pilgrims from the places of residence to Mecca Mosque.
This was the first group to arrive, as there are others scheduled to head to Mecca under supervision of the ministry.

Major General Amr Lotfy, assistant interior minister for the administrative affairs sector, and the chief executive of the Hajj season, said that the ministry succeeded in booking hotels in the central region of Mecca overlooking the Haram Mosque directly. He added that the Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar has ordered to provide all aspects of necessary care for the pilgrims, and to work on overcoming any obstacles.

The hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage, as it is one of the five pillars of Islam and must be performed at least once by every adult Muslim who is physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey.
