Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister meets with Tillerson

KUALA LUMPUR - 9 August 2017: Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi met on Wednesday with U.S. Secretary Of State Rex Tillerson in the headquarters of parliament.

Tillerson kicked off his visit to Malaysia on Tuesday with a meeting with Prime Minister Najib Razak, Bernama news agency reported.

Tillerson is the first senior official of the Trump administration to visit Malaysia.

The visit will provide the opportunity for both Malaysia and the United States to discuss and exchange views on a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues, Malaysian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
