Washington sends 112 trucks of weapons to SDF in Al Raqqa city

ANKARA - 9 August 2017: The US sent 112 trucks loaded with military equipment to the US- backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Al Raqqa city in Syria, Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel reported Wednesday.

This comes within the framework of cooperation efforts aiming at expelling Daesh terrorist group from Al Raqqa city, Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel said.

Trucks entered Al Hasakah city through Iraqi borders and moved to areas affiliated to Kurdish forces of the SDF.

The US special envoy for the coalition against Daesh said, earlier in the month, said that about 2000 Daesh fighters were still inside Raqqa city resisting the attacks of the US-backed SDF.
